Kronos Quartet, made up of violinists David Harrington, John Sherba, Hank Dutt, and cellist Sunny Yang, will perform three events in Abu Dhabi this month, as part of a residency at The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi.

The long-standing musical ensemble will start with For the Future on February 15 at 8pm, featuring works never before heard in the Middle East by composers such as Philip Glass and Islam Chipsy.

They will perform a second event, Around the World with Kronos, on February 16 at 4pm. This family-friendly show will run for 60 minutes and will include an international mix of musical styles.

Finally, on February 22 at 8pm, the Kronos will perform a ‘live documentary’. Footage from A Thousand Thoughts by Sam Green, which tells the story of the Kronos legacy, will screen alongside the quartet’s live music.

The Kronos have been around for more than forty years, with various rotating members.

*Tickets to see the Kronos in the UAE are Dh100. For those under 22, tickets are Dh50.
